The App is like the system. A big POS

App never works. Always delayed. Tells me alarm is not on, when it is. Able to lock and unlock door remotely, but app always shows door is unlocked even though physical inspection shows doors are locked. Not reliable. Always lose connections with cameras and cant be sure if recording activates when selected to do so in app. The system is not any better. Long term contracts, ridiculous fees, and they charge to come fix their POS equipment. Cant wait until contract expires.

Intermittent

App continually drops one of my thermostats which is frustrating when monitoring remotely through the app. App occasionally does not update changes

Remote access

I like the possibilities the app has but app is not always reliable and have had many five minute waits before my code went through and I got access to get in my home. It could be faster .. Oh and also allow silent disarming from the app.

Good app

I love it, very accurate on setting the alarm to watching the video with slight latency. still a good app for alarms good job vivint.

Enjoy it

I enjoy this app just fine. Helps me run everything on my system.

App is not reliable

I cant relay on the app. Never sure if a command (alarm activation or thermostat temp changes) was sent to the system or not.

Vivint app

For the most part, its a great app ALTHOUGH sometimes it seems to lag (up to 10 minutes) when were setting our alarm in the car. Fix that problem and it becomes a 5 star review. Customer Service is very responsive! Thank you.

It lock up on my new phone thank God there has not be a emergency situation over it

Wont open

I loved the app before the update. Since the update the app will not open. It just shows a white page. Please fix it!

Last update did more harm than good

Since the last update came through I have been unable to access the application. I dont know if this a direct relation to the update for sure but the thing seems very coincidental.

Your Vivint App

Your app normally works great. Normally a 5 Star. But the update you did today makes the app totally unusable. I can not open it at all, it just spins like it is going to work but nothing. I restarted the app multiple times & no luck. I even tried a hard apple reboot. Still does the same thing. Help please.

Doesnt always work

Sometimes the app works great. It will load and I can see everything I need to see. Other times it wont load, my alarm will be set but my phone says its not. Controls for the thermostat do not always work either.

Not Dependable

It only works about half the time. Doesnt always load, doesnt work too great with thermostat. Sometimes the panel will read that is armed but the app says its not and vice versa.

Vivint app very useful but...

I have given the app 3 of 5 stars. The app is great because you can arm and disarm the alarm, turn lights on and off if you have home automation. (They should make the zwave home automation devices more affordable. I cant believe a smoke detector or other devices costs $99 or whatever the price is. You are paying for the knowledge its connected to your alarm (but thats why you are paying a monthly fee, right?) The other reason for only 3 stars out of 4 is the fact that the app is slow to respond at times when trying to arm and disarm the alarm. The other feature Id like to see is Billing. I was told its on the app, but its not and was told to "wait a few days" and it should be there. Nothing yet and its been a week. I suspect they were talking about the Vivint Skyview app, but we dont have that type of alarm. So Vivint, speed up the connection to disarm the alarm, lower your costs on add on parts, and give out accurate info when I call in. As a side note, we bit the bullet and ordered the upgraded panel and were offered 2 free devices but had to lose the 1 stationary IR cameras (which at night looking out a window reflects back on itself so its useless to watch the driveway. Hence, we lose 1 stationary IR cameras for an outdoor IR camera) Vivint service when calling in is pretty darn good. The IVR (push 1 for this and 2 for that) seemed slow if you are calling in to cancel an alarm. But, if you are near the panel, you can give you verbal passcode much quicker and youre all set. Overall, a happy customer even with the complaints/suggestions above. :-)

App doesnt work

The app fails to work lately almost every time. Its horrible and of no use for my family.

Login Error

App is unusable. I can log into the website fine but the app does not recognize my username/password.

Vivint App

This app works flawlessly. In response to the one users statement about lag when setting from the car: this is a wifi issue and not the app. I will notice this from time to time myself when arming for the night with the app and the delay is ALWAYS due to wifi needing refreshed. The panel is "online" itself and not on private wifi. Changing to cellular data on your mobile device, especially if youre in the fringe zone of your wifi coverage, and giving your mobile device a second or two to catch its breath will overcome the extensive delay mentioned. Sometimes rebooting my mobile device is the cure. Technology is a wonderful thing if you can truly harness its abilities. App works as advertised and without issues. Keep in mind, the issue isnt with your system per say, youll find proper wifi/cell data use will enhance your experience. Im not just a Vivint user, I also work directly with wifi/data connections in my profession.
